A Lively, Supple Pinot Noir from a Burgundy Family Legacy
Bonjour! Ready to discover a Pinot Noir that brings the spirit of Burgundy to your glass, with a freshness and charm that’s impossible to resist?
The Story Behind the Bottle
Nestled in the picturesque hills of Saint-Aubin, Domaine Roux Père & Fils is a family-run estate with roots dating back to 1885. Today, the fourth and fifth generations of the Roux family continue the tradition, tending over 70 hectares of vineyards with passion and expertise. Their approach is all about honoring terroir and family heritage—each bottle is a testament to their hands-on philosophy and deep Burgundy know-how. While the Roux family’s heart is in the Côte d’Or, Les Cotilles Pinot Noir is crafted from carefully selected fruit sourced from vineyards across southern France, ensuring approachability and value while maintaining that classic Burgundian finesse. Traditional fermentation in stainless steel vats preserves the pure fruit character, with a gentle aging of 6–7 months to enhance freshness and balance.
What You'll Discover
Pour yourself a glass and admire the brilliant ruby color that glimmers in the light. The nose reveals inviting aromas of ripe cherries, plums, and subtle blackcurrant, with a whisper of spice. On the palate? Expect a lively, supple texture with silky tannins and vibrant red fruit—think cherries and cranberries—balanced by a hint of earth and velvety spice. The finish is fresh, clean, and wonderfully persistent.
Perfect Pairings
Think roast duck with cherry sauce, grilled salmon, or a classic coq au vin. It’s equally magnificent with mushroom risotto, herbed pork tenderloin, or a simple cheese and charcuterie board—reach for Brie, Comté, or Saint-Nectaire. This Pinot Noir shines at a picnic, a relaxed dinner, or any moment that calls for a touch of French elegance.
