1. Definitions

2. Membership and Approval
- Membership is free and subject to manual approval by The French Carousel.
- The French Carousel reserves the right to refuse any application without justification.
- Only one account per person, email address, and postal address is permitted.
- No fees are charged to participate in the program.
3. How the Program Works
- The referrer shares a unique link or code with their friend.
- To validate a referral:
- The friend must be a new customer (first-time purchase on The French Carousel).
- The friend’s order must be completed and delivered without cancellation or refund.
- Friend’s benefit: 10% discount on their first order.
- Referrer’s benefit: 1 point for every 1 AUD spent by the friend.
- Points are credited after validation by The French Carousel.
Example: 100 points = 5 AUD discount on the referrer’s next order.
4. Responsibility and Alcohol Sales
Limited Liability:
- The French Carousel is not responsible for how a referrer encourages a friend to shop on the site, nor for the content or practices of any external links shared by referrers.
- The French Carousel performs all necessary legal checks at the time of purchase, including:
- Age verification: The friend must be 18 years or older to purchase alcohol.
- Secure delivery: Alcohol will only be delivered to an adult in Australia, with ID verification if required.
Responsible Consumption: This program must not encourage excessive alcohol consumption. The French Carousel promotes moderate and responsible drinking.
5. Earning and Withdrawal of Points
- Points are awarded only after manual validation of the friend’s order.
- If the order is cancelled, refunded, or non-compliant, points will be immediately deducted.
- Points are valid indefinitely.
6. Fraudulent Behavior and Abuse
- The French Carousel may suspend or permanently ban a referrer in cases of:
- Creation of fake or multiple accounts.
- Use of automated or fraudulent methods.
- Any attempt to circumvent the rules or applicable laws.
- In cases of proven fraud, The French Carousel reserves the right to report the behavior to the relevant authorities.
- If banned, points are forfeited without possibility of recovery.
7. Using Points
- Points can be freely exchanged for discounts according to current terms.
- Points are not convertible to cash and cannot be transferred or sold.
8. Modification or Termination of the Program
- The French Carousel may modify or terminate the program at any time, without notice, including in cases of force majeure (e.g., regulatory changes, natural disasters).
- Participants will be notified of changes via email.
9. Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with The French Carousel’s Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Australia).
10. Disputes and Claims
- Decisions made by The French Carousel are final and not subject to appeal.
- In the event of a dispute, Australian courts have jurisdiction.
11. Acceptance of Terms
Participation implies unconditional acceptance of these terms. The French Carousel reserves the right to modify these terms at any time.
